Providing Humanitarian Assistance (NFIs, Hygiene Kits), Idlib

In light of the precautionary and preventive measures to limit the spread of COVID-19, and to emphasize the importance of health practices, SSSD’s team distributed 3200 hygiene kits that included soap, washing powder, toilet papers, towels, 10 and 20 liter-bottles, lice shampoos, and diapers, in Hama. Furthermore, NFIs consisting blankets and winter jackets were also distributed.

The project targeted 16,000 people from the areas of Halfaya, Mork, Karna, Al-Asharna, Sheikh Hadid, Bridige, Sqeilbyeh, Souran, and the city of Hama, and from the shelters including Nasseh Alwani, Al-Baridi, Al-Hamoud, Al-Talmathah, Abraj Al-Baroudi, Itarat, Souran, Maardis, and Tibat Al-Imam.

Also, the project targeted 3,200 families, which included newly displaced families, host communities, and original residents of the targeted areas affected by the conflict within Idlib Governorate, Aleppo, and Hama.

During the distribution process, the team took all precautions, while adhering to the hygiene instructions in order to prevent COVID-19 infection.

Sterilization Campaign at the Shatha Community – Beit Ward, Hama

In the context of precautionary and preventive measures to limit the spread of the new Coronavirus, the Syrian Society for Social Development team in Shatha implemented a sterilization campaign for public and governmental places in the Shatah.Which included (the bread oven- the telephone office- the post center - Shatah area - the recruitment branch - the agricultural bank - the electricity center)


The employees welcomed SSSD team and expressed their gratitude and thanks to the team that carried out this necessary campaign in the circumstances the country is going through, especially as it included the most places where citizens gather.
